Rachel – Day 60

The News: Cash Rebates For Whirlpool Appliances. The U.S. Department of Energy is offering about $300 million in cash rebates in the 50 states for Whirlpool Energy Star Efficient Appliances. This is the government’s aid to encourage people to conserve energy as much as possible. The rebates are available until the money runs out, so it’s first come first serve so get yours now!

My Comments: I’m only blogging about this to raise awareness because I firmly believe everyone should have energy efficient appliances. If you’re planning on getting a new appliance (dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, washer, dryer, air conditioner, etc), then please go to the above website and cash in for your rebate so you don’t pay full price!

Precisely why I don’t wash my clothes for months at a time. It’s a small thing I can do for the environment. Of course, it’s killed my social life, but I figure that’s a small price to pay to save the planet.
