Gretchen’s Life Day – 62

7 Apr

Jason  I are committed to transforming our family. It is fairly easy to make sure your kids are clean, fed, and have a roof over their heads. It is all the other stuff that we have let fall through the cracks. My parents were so great about expanding our horizons. We memorized Bible verses, read all the time, had different things we would learn about just for the heck of it. We also had fun-filled trips to farmer’s market and the library. All of this reflection on my childhood as made me realize I have fallen quite short of the parental bar my parents set. We are going to revamp our family! I am up to the challenge but I fear telling my kids. They have gotten in a rut and it is going to take a lot of work to dig them out.
