Rachel – Day 92

15 May

The News: Updates In Research For Sun Exposure. Three-quarters of Americans are vitamin D deficient. Recent research indicates the reason behind the deficiency is because we wear too much sunscreen. Sunscreen blocks the sun’s rays that we need to trigger the production of vitamin D. Vitamin D is a nutrient that prevents many illnesses and strengthens your body in several ways. It’s recommended to get about 15 minutes of sun exposure per day (without sunscreen), cover your face, neck and hands but expose your arms and legs.

My Comments: Oh good! This is Doctor’s orders to relax for 15 minutes a day in the sun, I can handle that for sure. So, make sure you get your sunshine today, it’s for your own good!
