Gretchen’s Life Day – 141

2 Aug

I read about a man in his 20’s who always thought that he did not belong in his family. He was fair-skinned with light brown hair. An oddball with his 4 olive-skinned, black-haired sisters. His parents swore he was not adopted. He asked if he could get a DNA test. The family had no money to do this. He saved his own money for a few years and finally got the test. His parents were 100% NOT his parents. He had heard about babies being switched at birth so he contacted the hospital he was born at. They made him take 3 other DNA tests all with the same result. There was only one other boy born that day. He contacted the young man who was also tested. The boys had been switched at birth! Now the truly amazing part of the story. One would think that both families sued the hospital and now have enough money to never work a day in their lives. I mean isn’t that what you would do? The second young man’s family had a farm. They invited the first boy who is now proven to be their biological son to have his whole family build a house on their land. This way both young men could be with the parents that raised them and their biological parents. Both men work the farm now, together. Why can’t we all be more like these families?

    I love this story, Gretchen!

It’s amazing how people can work things out when there isn’t a lawyer involved.
